Late / Absence Policies
Students need to be on time, in line ready to begin morning fitness with the class at 8:00 a.m., when the 2nd bell rings. When your child is absent, a note or teacher/office contact is required to explain why. The current District policy is all absences are considered unexcused unless for medical reasons, religious or bereavement.

4 = CONSISTENTLY working above Grade level Standards
3 = MEETING Grade Level Standards
2 = PROGRESSING Toward Meeting Grade Level Standards
1= MINIMAL Progress Toward Grade Level Standards
Behavior – Expectation is a “3”
Remember, the best reward is success in what you do and NO ONE can take away your intelligence!
Participation by your children is expected and they will be sharing their work throughout the school year.

Behavior – Expectation is a “3”
- Review the classroom rules
- If I catch you playing with items causing you to be unfocused, you will receive a warning, then it will be taken and returned to you at the end of the school year.
- Be responsible for yourselves, your supplies and your area – Keep them clean!
- Behave responsibly in class regarding the following:
- Bathroom privileges- to be used before school, at recess and lunch. I understand there may be emergencies that arise but class time is for learning.
- Water bottles – They are welcome.
- Sink Usage – if you make a mess, clean it up!
- Turn in assignments on time
- Missed work will receive a "0" with no opportunity to make it up
- Late projects will receive one grade down each day late
- Homework is not graded although expected to be completed and will be noted if not completed
- All work turned in is to be your best work! Messy work is not acceptable and includes the following:
- Wrinkled
- Scratch outs
- Drawn on
- Students will be provided with 2 make-up days for each day absent
- The Student is responsible, not the teacher, to see that absent work is completed
